Provide technical leadership for the site, with responsibility for Site Engineering, Continuous Improvement/Reliability, and Maintenance for all site assets, building, civil and factory IT. Delivering excellence in (maintenance) project execution of investments in line with legal requirements and Mars standards.
What would be your key responsibilities?
Technical Leadership:
Ensure maximum technical performance and reliability of the assets on site, linked to the factory targets and processes, through effective planned/preventive/curative maintenance and small-minor CAB execution. This includes all fixed assets, buildings and infrastructure, civil and factory IT-systems.
Takes responsibility for safety (associate, contractor and food) and quality of execution, as well as all other legal obligations due to local law and Mars Standards. In close collaboration with the senior regional engineering manager responsible for the contractor management and development and deployment of Technical Risk Management process.
Definition and execution of Small Minor Projects and if applicable large Minor projects with regional engineering team.
Responsible for the financial delivery of the Maintenance expense-plan and FAA related to the Small Minor CAB.
Management of external Maintenance/Engineering supplier network. Definition of optimal supplier infrastructure together with Commercial.
Providing guidance and technical leadership to the Plant Team, in close collaboration with the sr regional engineering manager, by leading key signature Engineering Operating System processes like Asset Health Check for the sit.
People Leadership:
Leading & developing of the site technical team (site engineering, maintenance & reliability) and creating an engaging and winning environment through HPC. Responsible for the technical talent pipeline on the site.
· Develop and coach his team in applying standard ways of working and signature processes in both Maintenance as Engineering. This in line with the Engineering Operating System (e.g. Project management, asset standardization), Mars Supply Excellence (autonomous maintenance, preventive maintenance).
Balancing technical activity peaks by adequate people resource allocation - by external contractors or, with support from regional team, from the cluster team.
Site Leadership:
As member of Factory Leadership Team have a shared accountability for all Associates, overall site KPI's as well as creating and leading the site strategy.
Manage the interface with the regional engineering team, drive collaboration between site and regional team.
Responsibility for sites reliability improvement team, lead by a P1 Manager.
Maintenance Strategy:
Lead the development and owning the site Maintenance Masterplan (including Energy), in close collaboration with site/regional IE and regional engineering and in line with regional/global standards.
Creating with the Regional Engineering Manager and the relevant site and regional stakeholders the overall CAB site strategy based on the business needs.
Together with the site HSE manager responsible for the development and deployment of the SIG site roadmap.
Has the custodial responsibility for the regional cluster.
Acts a representative for all cluster sites in the region, and represents the region for those sites. Leads regional initiatives and projects to improve maintenance and reliability. Has responsibility for a P1 Reliability Improvement manager who leads PM pillar and Reliability Improvement Strategy for the cluster.
What are we looking for?
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Operations, or a related field is required (a Master’s degree is highly preferred and may be required depending on location), combined with extensive experience in manufacturing business operations.
Significant, hands-on experience as a direct Line Manager. You have a proven track record of coaching, developing, and building high-performing, inclusive technical and engineering teams.
Strong working knowledge across key manufacturing pillars, specifically Maintenance & Reliability (M&R), Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS), and Industrial Engineering (IE).
Deep expertise in managing site-level maintenance programs, ensuring asset reliability, and driving operational efficiency.
Outstanding project management skills within an engineering or supply environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional fluency in written and verbal English. You are highly skilled at collaborating across matrixed regional teams and translating complex technical data into clear, actionable business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
