Shift Manager Nights
Location: Temple, TX
Shift: 223 Night Shift; 7pm – 7:30am
The Shift Manager is responsible for one shift of operations within the value stream. The Shift Manager own the safety culture and ensure safety of those in their organization by monitoring and correcting unsafe conditions, facilitating improvement plans for their team, and instilling a safety mindset for all associates on their team. The Shift Manager owns the quality culture to ensure 100% right first-time quality and world class consumer complaints rates are upheld. The Shift Manager is responsible for associate engagement and development. Capable of effectively facilitating team meetings, coordinating communications across the site, to their direct reports and across all shifts. Shift Managers give clear and accurate reports to the business leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develops the Shift Master Plan and 90-Day Plan to address losses and build capability along with future growth
• Clean, Inspect, and Lubricate Daily Management System
• Provides On the floor coaching of equipment owners across all shifts
• Anticipates change and develops plans to effectively implement change
• Makes quick and effective decisions, and accepts responsibility for those decisions and delivering on the commitment
• Conducts associate performance reviews, development planning and impact sessions • Responsible for driving Team Engagement
• Understand operations in the process system of plant operations
• Understand and operate in various areas of the plant
• Be willing to cross-train in managerial areas of the plant
• Be a member of the site’s Food Defense Team Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or equivalent, AND 5+ years' experience in leadership capacity working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical/business related discipline, AND 10+ years' experience in leadership capacity working in a manufacturing/industrial environment in various roles with increasing responsibility, preferred
• Working knowledge of other departments (Safety, Engineering, P&O, Quality, R&D, etc.) and their relationship to Manufacturing.
• A thorough knowledge of good personnel practices
• Knowledge of applicable governmental regulations
• High level of analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Recognition of different perspectives and ability to interact with healthy challenge
