The Senior SAP BASIS Lead is responsible for coordinating, governing, and overseeing SAP BASIS platform projects across hybrid SAP landscapes, including on-premise SAP environments, SAP RISE, hyperscaler cloud platforms Services. This role ensures secure, compliant, and standardized SAP platform operations across SAP applications, integration services, and database platforms.

The position acts as the technical leadership and coordination lead within the SAP BASIS and platform services domain, aligning internal teams & Implementation Partner, SAP cloud services, hyperscalers, under a structured governance and shared-responsibility framework.

The Senior SAP BASIS Lead drives long-term platform supportability and operational resilience in SAP environments. The role manages BASIS services, including system administration, landscape management, connectivity, transport management, integration monitoring, and platform operations across SAP systems such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP HANA databases, SAP BTP, and SAP cloud platforms.

The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives, system optimisation, and transformation programs while enabling business value through secure, scalable, and reliable SAP platform operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers and business stakeholders to understand technical and infrastructure requirements for SAP landscapes.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Security teams, Infrastructure specialists, and Cloud engineers to design SAP platform solutions aligned with business needs.

• Define and own project delivery plans for SAP infrastructure and BASIS platforms, ensuring successful end-to-end SAP landscape delivery.

• Provide effort estimations, resource planning, timelines, and cost projections for SAP platform and infrastructure projects.

• Identify, assess, and manage technical and operational risks that may impact project delivery or business operations.

• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including leadership teams, project managers, architects, and external vendors.

• Lead SAP BASIS implementation and platform teams during project delivery and system transformation initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise IT governance, infrastructure standards, and security policies during SAP platform deployment and operations.

• Drive adherence to organizational processes, architecture standards, and SAP best practices.

• Take ownership of project deliverables, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, quality standards, timelines, and budget.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Basis, ECC, Oracle, SQL.

• SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA Database Administration experience.

• SAP System Implementation, Migration, and Landscape Management

• Enterprise Application Infrastructure Architecture

• Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, SAP Cloud Platform / SAP BTP

• Linux Server Administration for SAP Environments

• Oracle and SAP HANA Database Management

• SAP System Performance Optimization and Monitoring

• High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Critical Environment Management

• SAP Technical Architecture Design for Enterprise Applications

• SAP Landscape Transformation and System Integration

• Project Management Methodologies (Agile / Waterfall)

• Enterprise Platform Strategy and Solution Delivery

• Technical Governance and SAP Best Practices Implementation

• Experience managing vendors and holding them accountable to SLAs and KPIs

• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and structured problem-solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders across global environments

• Strong governance and process-oriented mindset
