Context and Scope:
- The job holder is based and work in Pakchong Factory.
- The job holder works across the category and industry borders and networks regionally with Mars R&D Product, Process, CTI (Consumer Technology Insight), Q&FS and Packaging technology partners, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operation, Industrial Engineering, Logistics and Commercial and processing machine/ equipment vendors.
- The job holder works with SEA R&D Process team members in Thailand, R&D Process team in China, R&D Process team in India and Central Product and Process GIC and with Thailand based R&D. organization members to improve the team engagement through on-/off-site activities.
- The job holder refers to the Central/Operating Entitle (OE) work process and/or framework when applicable, but at the same time, proposes the new ways of work that is in line with the Five Principles.
Overview:
- To drive business growth by delivering commercially feasible, affordable, and sustainable Product Manufacturing Process that deliver product specification requirements and in compliance with market regulations and MARS Global Product Quality Standards.
- To improve speed to market by flawless execution development and implementation of new Manufacturing Process according to Design for Vertical Startup Principles (DFVS) and Methodologies to ensure right first time with minimum possible timeline and resource requirement.
- To sustain market competitiveness by optimizing product costs through continuous improvement and implementation of manufacturing process efficiency, capability, and capacity.
- To deliver Wet Manufacturing Process technologies and Technical Consultant necessary to support new product development projects and Technical troubleshooting associated with manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop standard Process Development Procedure and align Way of Working and RACI with other Functions.
- Lead end-to-end new Product Manufacturing Process development activities, including but not limited to, developing, and defining Process Design, Key Process Parameter settings and Process Specification for development of new product recipes, new Raw Materials, New processing lines and/or new equipment as well as development and/or deployment of new Global Processing Technologies in MARS Manufacturing Sites.
- Provide technical support on Process Efficiency, Cost and Capacity Improvement projects and technical assistance on troubleshooting for issues associated with Product Manufacturing Process Design and Specification.
- Support Process Line trials, Line Commissioning, Validation and Star Up for new product and alternative Raw material development, Line Efficiency Improvement, Cost Saving, Value Leadership, Sustainability, and capital projects.
- Represent RD Process team in communication and meeting with MARS internal cross-functional team and suppliers on Process Design, Specification, and other technical related matters.
- Ensure all process design and specification consistently deliver products according to Product design specification and in compliance with MARS Global Product Quality standards and systems.
Qualifications:
Education & Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in Product Manufacturing Process development, preferably in Food Products with strong technical competency in various Food Processing Technologies such as Dry products and Retorted Wet Products.

- Strong leadership skill.
- Highly proactive, self-driven and self-awareness.
- Able to work independently with minimum close supervision requirement.
- Good teamwork, project management, communication, and presentation skill.
- Proactive, high curiosity and eager to learn and improve.
- Possess high learning agility to learn and adapt to new skill.
- Positive thinking, resilience, willing to accept and deal with challenges and can work under pressure.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
