Sanitation Technician

Shift:

Monday-Friday 6am-2:30 pm

Overtime may be required on occasion based on business demands

Purpose of Role:

The Sanitation Technician performs the micro-sanitation, pest control and sampling program services for the plant in order to provide for a safe, clean, orderly environment that exemplifies a world class manufacturing facility. This role reports to the site Sanitation Manager.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Manages pest control activities for area through evaluation and auditing of pest population
• Identification and elimination of micro-habitats, selection of proper pesticides and coordination of inspections. •
• Maintains control over the microbial environment in plant through detailed cleaning of all plant equipment and surfaces, sanitation of high- risk areas, and management of environmental sampling program, adjusting efforts to minimize counts.
• Performs preventive maintenance on all sanitation equipment
• Provides early detection of equipment degradation or malfunction throughout the plant.
• Participate in Master Cleaning Schedule, Shutdown/Start-up cleaning schedules
• Maintains grounds and perimeter of plant along with roof and roof mounted equipment.
• Responsible for communicating and elevating any quality and food safety concerns to the site.
• Overtime may be required on occasion based on business demands.

Additional Duties:

• Provides training to plant associates on Good Manufacturing Practices, sanitation and pest control.
• Coordinate supplies, equipment and contractor support for plant sanitation and pest control.
• Other similar duties as assigned.
