Job Description:

The role operates across Royal Canin units and functions, partnering with product teams, business partners, functional leaders and Unit leadership teams to deliver DT projects.

It brings in external/best practice insights & trends from vendors, analysts and peer companies to influence and drive business transformation at scale.

It will contribute in building and enforcing the image of the delivery team as the project/program management backbone of Royal Canin.

What are we looking for?

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent Project/Program management certification preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in IT or project management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in building and leading highly effective teams, mentoring and coaching junior project managers.
  • Excellent program management skills, with a strong ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs, budgets and interdependencies.
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with project management tools such as SmartSheet, Trello, Jira, etc.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Be the Single Point of contact of the delivery team for the region/function to ensure the project requirements are proactively being addressed and all projects for the region/functions are being delivered according to the team standard.
  • Responsible for the deployment of large and complex DT projects and programs, securing benefits delivery and adherence to functional & segment strategies and priorities.
  • Leads and engages a high performing team of up to 15 people. Coordinates internal and 3rd party resources, provides coaching, guidance and support to other project managers.
  • Oversees activities throughout initiation, development, implementation and nurturing phases while managing of quality, cost and time.
  • Identifies, mitigates and communicates project/program risks and issues.
  • Owns and leads the program/project governance processes with relevant Business and DT Leaders.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional global and regional teams to define expected business outcomes and ensure successful hand-over to BAU.
  • Manages 3rd parties to ensure delivery per Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and recommends improved ways of working.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the relevant business area and technologies to support the development of accurate and concise functional requirements.
  • Utilizes the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool for resources planning, project milestones, risks, issues and financials.
  • Delivers solutions which are quality and functionally tested, with supporting project/program documentation which meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Engages senior stakeholders across multiple functions, Business Partnership, DT directors and business leaders to ensure successful project deployment and benefits achievement.
  • Continuously improves the deployment process by evaluating and implementing best practices, processes, and tools.
