Royal Canin IT Europe Supply Chain Functional Lead F/M/X

This role is a Functional Digital Technologies Lead driving change and transformation within Royal Canin Europe. Partners with Global or Regional/Functional Segment leaders and their teams to define the RC Digital Strategy and portfolio of high business value change initiatives within Europe. Helps to drive speed and focus through building mutual partnerships across Functional and Digital towers and influencing key stakeholders across the division. Is accountable for all Digital Technologies deliveries supporting the Supply Chain (Value Chain Operations - VCO) Functional area within Royal Canin Europe.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Leadership & Strategic Collaboration:

  • Drive alignment and execution of the Supply Chain and VCO digital technology strategy, partnering closely with senior business and digital leaders across Royal Canin Europe.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and thought leader, proactively identifying business challenges and opportunities, and leveraging digital solutions to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commercial teams) and external partners to achieve shared strategic objectives.
  • Champion supporting digital transformation initiatives, influencing senior leadership and stakeholders to embrace innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

Digital Expertise & Innovation:

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert and advocate for digital solutions within Supply Chain and VCO, providing strategic guidance and thought leadership to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for digital innovation, introducing best practices and emerging technologies from internal and external sources to enhance operational efficiency, agility, and customer experience.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, encouraging teams to explore new ideas, technologies, and approaches to embrace continuous improvement and transformation

Digital Roadmap & Execution:

  • Drive, prioritize, and align the Supply Chain and VCO digital roadmap, ensuring clear alignment with regional and global strategic priorities.
  • Capture, analyze, and prioritize business demands, translating them into clear IT requirements and project proposals.
  • Collaborate closely with the RC Global Digital Delivery team, global Functional IT teams, and external partners to ensure successful execution and timely delivery of digital initiatives.
  • Provide strategic oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring initiatives deliver expected business outcomes, adhere to timelines, and remain within budget.
  • Oversee the DT project portfolio for Royal Canin Europe, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and achievements to effectively drive Steering cycles.

Digital Operations & Optimization:

  • Oversee the regional digital solutions landscape within Supply Chain and VCO, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and operational support are in place in partnership with the Global Digital Operations teams.
  • Drive simplification, optimization, and standardization of digital solutions to enhance user adoption, reduce complexity, and improve overall operational effectiveness.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of digital solutions, gathering stakeholder feedback and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure all digital initiatives comply with internal policies, Mars Five Principles, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in governance forums, ensuring adherence to enterprise digital governance frameworks and best practices.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent (Digital Technology/IT Degree preferred) MBA or Masters in Business (Desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years working in a Digital Tech related role, depending on scale of the role
  • Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship including business leaders, DT personnel and project leaders
  • Strong Story Telling skills - Excellent communication Skills. Ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff
  • Deep understanding of business drivers / processes and ability to relate segment priorities to associated technology
  • Learning agility and desire to learn new technology and business
  • Management, Senior Management exposure
  • Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority
