About the role: This role will be working for our Mars Food Nutrition segment, where we bring people together through flavour.

As our Reliability Manager, you will hold the keys to our site's operational success. Taking overall ownership of the maintenance group, you will shape the strategic direction, champion a proactive maintenance culture, and steer the maintenance budget. You aren't just managing upkeep; you are a key strategic partner. Sitting on the Plant Management Team, you will collaborate closely with Production Managers to drive continuous improvement, minimize equipment downtime, and keep our world-class plant running seamlessly.

What you’ll do:

• Provide direct leadership and line management to the maintenance team. You will champion a high-performance culture, focusing on skill development, knowledge management, and targeted technical training.

• Lead the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of the site-wide maintenance strategy to maximize asset lifecycle and plant reliability.

• Act as the dedicated owner of the site maintenance budget and manage the stores inventory budget to ensure optimal parts availability.

• Rigorously analyse key performance indicators—including maintenance spend and reliability metrics.

• Oversee and deliver key engineering and maintenance projects specifically focused on elevating overall plant reliability and reducing equipment downtime.

Your unique ingredients:

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) OR a relevant trade qualification with extensive leadership experience.

• Demonstrated experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or ERP platforms (such as SAP).

• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent continuous improvement certifications (Lean, Six Sigma) are highly regarded.
