This role is supporting the Shepherd/Digital First Transformation Program, and as a result, has an anticipated program end date of December 31st, 2026. Throughout your time in this role, we will have focused discussion around your development in support of your Best Next Move following the completion of this project. Should you be unsuccessful in securing an alternative role, your role may be at risk of redundancy. Should this occur, you may be eligible to receive separation benefits consistent with Company policies and practices.

As an RBS Full Stack Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building user-centric, AI/ML-enabled web applications that streamline e-commerce functions and business processes. If you are a seasoned developer with expertise in React and Angular, passionate about creating scalable, intuitive digital solutions for retail and commerce, this is your chance to make a significant impact within a purpose-driven company.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Proven expertise in developing interactive, feature-rich user interfaces using React.js and Angular (version 11+)
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, and backend frameworks such as Python (Django), Node.js, or Java
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and working with backend databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) and SQL
• Familiarity with UI/UX prototyping and testing tools (e.g., Selenium)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization (Docker), microservices, and preferably Kubernetes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git) and Agile software development methodologies

Nice-to-haves:

• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and UI for machine learning applications
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and API Gateway architectures

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Lead the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and maintenance
• Develop responsive, intuitive web applications using React.js, Angular, or Vue.js, focusing on exceptional user experience for e-commerce and retailer-facing platforms
• Create wireframe prototypes and collaborate closely with designers to optimize UI/UX
• Build and maintain robust server-side logic and APIs to ensure seamless front-end/back-end integration supporting e-commerce workflows
• Architect scalable cloud-based solutions using containerization and microservices
• Facilitate component/module reuse and standardize UI frameworks across projects and teams
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Document coding standards, implementation guidelines, and best practices
• Mentor and coach development teams, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration
