Job Description:

Support the Mars Petcare R&D team and deepen your knowledge in industrial research in the field of sensory evaluation. You will assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the internal sensory panel (preparation, evaluate, report writing and panel engagement) and support Central and Regional R&D teams with projects.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Planning and executing sensory tests (discrimination and descriptive human sensory panels)

  • Panelist training and engagement (newsletters, attendance, performance)

  • Support development of prototypes within the framework of a defined project

  • Support in providing recommendations for product development projects

What are we looking for?

  • You have or are in progress of acquiring an advanced degree in chemistry, food science or nutritional science

  • Ideally, initial practical experience, preferably in the field of sensory technology or product effect, product development or flavor analysis in the FMCG sector

  • The ability to work independently and in a structured manner

  • Initiative, enthusiasm and a problem-solving mentality

  • Talent for communication in English, German is a plus

  • Good MS Office skills
