Commercial Inbound Specialist/Procurement Specialist (12 month contract)

The Commercial Inbound Specialist is the senior procurement professional at the site. This role will support key site strategic projects and initiatives, playing a fundamental role in driving the overall strategy for commercial and Pet Nutrition Europe locally, driving commercial excellence. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing inbound raw/packaging escalations as they occur, as well ask acting as the commercial representative in site leadership forums when required.

What would your key responsibilities be?

  • Development and implementation of inbound pipeline strategies, while applying lean principles

  • Manage stakeholder relationship with local teams (SMT, Site-R&D, Logistics etc.)

  • Ensure execution of agreed material MSSM strategies on the site

  • Responsible for Local Buying, including raw and packaging material not covered by Sourcing and sub-processing where applicable.

  • Challenge existing business norms with the support of the European Strategic Sourcing Manager to exploit supplier developments & innovations.

  • Drive local COGS reduction by working with internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Commercial representation in local and European ATG on demand

  • Identification of optimization opportunities, ensuring COGS pipeline to agreed OGSM targets

  • Owns legal agreements (contracts) with local suppliers

  • Supporting Supplier Reviews and conducting pipeline reviews with key local suppliers

What are we looking for?

  • Significant experience within a commercial, supply chain or similar role

  • Good IT knowledge (SAP would be a bonus)

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • An awareness of Lean principles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
