We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Process Operator to join our Blending Department. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, managing, and monitoring the blending process for animal feed production, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Intake Operator, Pressman, and other team members to maintain a seamless workflow, troubleshoot issues, and prepare for upcoming shifts.

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent communication and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic understanding of inventory management and material handling.

  • Problem-solving skills to identify and report issues promptly.

  • Physical ability to handle materials (e.g., lifting 12kg–25kg bags) and work across different floors.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment desirable

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Prepare materials for blending jobs, including tipping premixes (12kg to 25kg bags) in the required quantities to be mixed for pressing.

  • Manage inventory by checking and zeroing out empty bins, reporting shortages to the Intake Operator, Pressman and Line Manager, and ensuring a stock is sealed and returned after use.

  • Conduct pre- and post-shift checks. Ensure your area is kept to a high level of hygiene and raw materials are kept free of any potential contaminants. Seal and store unused bags after completing jobs

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Intake Operator, Pressman, and Shift Manager via radio or phone to report issues, confirm program changes, and ensure all team members are informed of material shortages or other issues.

  • Promptly report any mechanical issues to engineers, Intake, and Pressman, ensuring all parties are fully aware and solutions are implemented.
