Mars Wrigley - Team Member: Palletizer Operator- Elizabethtown, PA
- Pay: Based on experience starting at $24.10/hour+ and $2/hour shift premium
- This site manufactures DOVE chocolate
Shift Schedule:
2nd Shift: Monday- Friday 2:30pm- 11pm
Job Purpose:
The Team Member- Palletizer Operators are responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities through using forklifts to transport products for shipping.
What we are looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience operating forklifts.
- Proficient in computer software’s including MS Office and e-mail.
Physical Requirements:
- Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
- Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
- Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines
- Forklift certified
- OSHA certification
- Knowledge of inventory control principles
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
- Performs activities and job tasks for multiple lines and areas
- Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level
- Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting
- Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM)
- Performs quality control (QC) tasks
- Maintain accurate records of quality check and keeps detailed logbooks
- Any ad hoc tasks
