Packing Process Engineer D4C (Sustainability & Recycling) (f/m/x)

Location: Niepołomice (work on-site)

Are you passionate about process improvement and sustainability? Join Mars as a Packaging Process Engineer and play a key role in delivering the circular pack transition at the site level. In this position, you will coordinate and facilitate all operations linked to pack transition, assess impacts on factory activity and resources, and drive continuous improvement. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver plans on time, mitigate the impact of changes, control NQC generation, and reduce environmental impacts.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead and support trials and technical improvements according to the regional plan.

  • Create and manage local project dashboards, define KPIs, and analyze results.

  • Build action plans based on KPI evaluation and measure efficiency.

  • Support QFS team in addressing customer complaints related to circular packages.

  • Animate master data validation workflow at the factory level and ensure timely updates.

  • Ensure master data updates for demand planning, MPS, and master files.

  • Manage planning and communication for packaging material switches, including risk assessment and compliance with switch strategy.

  • Improve current pack waste disposal and define the road to circularity.

  • Organize pack waste collection and manage disposal of finished goods and packaging material according to company rules.

  • Stakeholder Communication

  • Build and execute effective communication plans with both global and local stakeholders.

  • Support Safety CI, Quality CI, and Environment CI in collaboration with QFS and HSE.

  • Benchmark with Mars factory CI teams to share best practices.

  • New Products & Process Implementation

  • Ensure implementation of new products and processes without deviation from standards.

  • Guarantee compliance with RNI standards and participate in investment submissions.

  • Collaborate with technical departments to validate and deploy standard definitions.

  • Develop and update training modules for associates.

What are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in food industry or general engineering.

  • Professional background in a manufacturing environment preferably in a similar position.

  • Hands-on experience in project management related to sustainability, recycling, and the implementation of new materials into the production process.

  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).

  • Good communication skills in Polish (spoken and written).

  • Strong continuous improvement and result-oriented mindset.

  • Technical and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing data collection and usage systems (WMS tool).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience.

  • Analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills.
