Material Planner - Onsite
Franklin, TN
The Material Planner will be responsible for the execution of the regional Raw & Packaging Material planning processes. As a passionate and skilled professional bringing in-depth functional knowledge and best practice, they will focus on developing accurate plans for a set of materials to ensure inbound material supply sufficiency and cost/cash optimization over the short-term planning horizon.
What are we looking for?
Minimum
Bachelor's degree and/or 4+ years Supply Chain work experience
1+ years of experience in Planning (Materials, Supply, Demand, etc.), Inbound Logistics, or Purchasing/Procurement
Ability to work flexible hours as needed (outside of working hours, generally 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Preferred
Experience using SAP and Advanced Planning Systems
Bachelor's Degree within Supply Chain
2+ years experience in planning inbound raw and packaging with CPG company
What will be your key responsibilities?
Material supply continuity and sufficiency to manufacturing sites:
Create raw and pack material Purchase Orders per system-generated Purchase Requisitions
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure PO dates & information is always confirmed and accurate in our systems
Action system-generated exception messages to manage site production needs and raw/pack material inventory
Drive efficient enterprise risk awareness & management through effective storytelling via aligned escalation paths & forums
Own material planning KPI calculation and Improvement plans specific to assigned site(s)
Maintain strong partnership with supported manufacturing site(s) and create/action E2E Planning continuous improvement opportunities
Manage raw and pack material planning parameters:
Ensure consistent 100% accuracy of SAP raw & pack material planning parameters, in alignment with supplier SLAs and internal process requirements
Provide feedback loop into SLA process for parameter adjustments that may need to be updated off-cadence
Manage raw and pack material inventory, including safety stock levels, to optimize for service and cost
Monitor and action materials inventory health and sufficiency per designated targets
Define and action materials inventory improvement plans
