About the role: This role will be working for our Mars Food Nutrition segment, where we bring people together through flavour.
Reporting to the Scheduler & Inventory Controller Manager, this role is responsible for all inventory on site and the impact this has on the factory, both incoming and outgoing with a continuing focus on operational and cost optimisation.
What you’ll do:
Order materials from 3PL’s, to ensure raw and pack materials are available to meet process requirements in the 24 hour facility, working fixed afternoon shift.
Planning of Inventory cycle counts/checks as required, and driving the process/systems to minimise cycle counts.
Adjust production schedule as needed for forward 48hr window on back shifts.
Continuous improvement in the inventory levels for incoming Raws and Packs.
Ensure cost effective material handling to deliver operational requirements.
Influence material management on site with the necessary cycle counts conducted.
Develop and build relationships with 3PL and factory associates, providing proactive comms to partners.
Ensure systems are running correctly to allow efficient flow of information.
Drive cost savings and actively participate in the Inventory Feeder Meeting process, ensure measures are in place to quickly identify opportunities.
Your unique ingredients:
Tertiary qualifications is desirable but not essential.
Previous inventory coordination and cycle counting is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and stay productive without direct supervision.
SAP and Excel system knowledge and experience.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal customers and suppliers.
High levels of creativity and problem-solving skills.
Sound functional and technical skills.
Excels in a dynamic customer focused environment where key drivers for success are Dealing with Ambiguity, Action Orientated, Standing Alone, Conflict Management, Drive for Results, Project Management and Priority Setting.
