Job Description:
This role is responsible for the effective management of Integrated Pest Management laboratory and field operations, and deployment of scientific discoveries, ensuring high-quality execution of research and technology transfer. The position emphasizes lab management, industry-oriented implementation, and strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support scalable Integrated Pest Management (IPM) solutions. Scientific expertise in pathology and entomology supports, but does not drive, the core objectives of the role.
What will be your key responsibilities?
First point of contract for the Cocoa Advanced Research Laboratory (CARL)’s Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) matter
oversees and manages daily operations of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) laboratory in Pangkep, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards
leads laboratory organization, resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and workflow optimization
coordinates deployment of Integrated Pest Management tools, technologies, and protocols with external partners and field teamsFirst point of contract for the Cocoa Advanced Research Laboratory (CARL)’s Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) matter

Qualifications:
MSc in biology, agronomy, plant sciences, or related field
advanced degree (PhD) is an advantage but not mandatory
fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and oral)
Experience with cocoa preferred
Experience with Industry preferred
Knowledge/experience:
strong experience in laboratory management, including operations, logistics, and team supervision
demonstrated experience working in industry or applied research environments
proven ability to build and maintain professional networks with internal and external stakeholders
experience in deployment, scale-up, or technology transfer of agricultural or biological solutions
