This role focuses against the core SRM pillars of Product Assortment and Mix. As part of SRM Center of Excellence, the role collaborates closely with GMs, Sales Heads, CFOs, local SRM and Sales Finance leaders to deliver annual Growth & Market Share, build local SRM capabilities and monitor SRM progress & action plans.

Key Responsibilities:

This role has the following critical areas of responsibility:

Drive & embed top quartile Product Assortment and Mix capabilities within Mars PN

  • As part of the Global SRM COE, design & codify key SRM capabilities related to Product Assortment and Mix, spanning organization design/talent, processes, systems, and tools usage, and create associated upskilling material
  • Provide expert guidance to inform design of advanced digital products (innovation simulator, Point of Sales assortment optimizer)
  • Routinize and Digitize SRM best practices to enable faster and more efficient execution in all markets
  • Ensure effective transfer of SRM knowledge and capabilities, sharing top quartile practices among global community of SRM analysts
  • Establish relationships with other CPG companies and other Mars segments to continuously upgrade our digital, analytical, and SRM capabilities with respect to net price realization through Product Assortment & Mix levers
  • Maintain central knowledge repositories at a team level to ensure knowledge management. This includes lessons learned, project documentation, (competitive) portfolio activity, SRM scorecards etc.
  • Share and adapt best practices from other segments and collaborate on projects and initiatives when appropriate
  • Ensure transfer of skills within the Global Pet Nutrition SRM team and actively support a strong, professional team culture

Support impact realization of Product Assortment & Mix initiatives across markets

  • Partner with local entities as they develop Product Assortment & Mix strategy, supporting thinking as needed
  • Provide ad hoc support for complex Product Assortment & Mix initiatives across markets, such as portfolio strategy
  • Contribute to definition of relevant Product Assortment & Mix KPIs to monitor value

Shape priority initiatives to launch in upcoming years

  • Identify opportunities to further enhance Mars PN capabilities and create actionable recommendations related to Product Assortment & Mix, leveraging fact-based insights and analyses
  • Proactively suggest to local SRM teams new initiatives to optimize Product Assortment & Mix performance

Drive consolidated value tracking of SRM initiatives across markets (across all SRM levers, incl. Pricing, Price-Pack Architecture, Promotion, Trade Terms on top of Assortment & Mix)

  • Review high-level initiatives' action plan
  • Ensure timely update of initiatives' status within tracking systems
  • Steer realization of initiatives across markets, proactively identify risks and support mitigation planning
  • Set up and lead implementation of value tracking governance, drive the quarterly performance reviews with priority local entities and actively mitigate risks to plan
