The Pet Assessment Digital Product Owner owns the full value delivery for Pet Nutrition pet assessment tools across their lifecycle including initial delivery in the context of our R&D digital ambition that will transform how pet data is used in the business. The role will lead development and delivery of digital solutions, partnering with key digital teams and driving product adoption through effective user and stakeholder engagement, change management and organizational capability builds.

What are we looking for?

  • Digital / Data or Statistical education, strong data literacy, tech savvy

  • Understanding of Agile principles and ways of working, ideally experience as a product owner

  • Project management experience

  • Understanding of how R&D assesses product performance through testing

  • Strong collaboration skills and customer focus

  • Drives Results in a resourceful manner

  • Fluent in English, other languages beneficial

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Owns and delivers digital transformation projects for Mars Pet Nutrition Pet Assessment capability including:

    • Business project management of up to 5 active projects ensuring deliver through effective governance and stakeholder management.

    • Applying agile project management techniques to deliver iterative value throughout project lifecycle

  • Ownership of value delivery for digital pet assessment capability throughout the product lifecycle

    • Articulates product value and maintains product backlog, provides prioritization of product features to drive continuous improvement once capabilities are deployed

    • Defines roadmaps, solicits fit for use criteria working with users within function

    • Brings subject matter expertise, user empathy

    • Responsible for creation of the right capabilities, change management and user adoption supporting overall change management to drive digitalization in R&D

  • Champions and applies Agile principles and tools for the wider program, linking into global Agile community within Mars

  • Pro-actively building and leveraging internal and external network in the data, analytics and systems space
