Job Description:

The Global Lead JBPs and Retail Media is a critical leadership role designed to maximize Mars Snacking's long term value creation, return on investment (ROI), and capability development across Joint Business Partnerships (JBPs) with our key advertising partners and the global Retail Media landscape.

This role bridges enterprise-wide strategic relationships and market-level execution. The successful candidate will lead the evolution of our JBPs with global advertising and tech platforms towards highly integrated planning models, while simultaneously defining the capabilities, data foundations, and tech ecosystems required to accelerate our global digital retail media performance.

To drive long term business value with our key advertising partners this role collaborates closely with Global and Regional teams across Media, Brand & Content, Digital Technologies, Measurement, Commercial and agency partners.

Retail Media is a collaboration between our Digital Commerce (Dcom) and Media organizations and as our global Lead, this role creates transparency, builds governance, and ensures Mars Snacking remains at the cutting edge of digital marketing and commerce.

What are we looking for?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Media Communications, Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 10+ years of deep experience in digital marketing, media buying, media partnership management, or e-commerce/retail media. With proven experience operating in an international matrix organization.
  • Ecosystem thinking: Demonstrated experience building an ecosystem across partners, agencies and internal teams
  • Partnership Management (Must-Have): Demonstrated experience managing and maximizing joint business partnerships with global tech/media platforms and major agency networks.
  • Retail Media Expertise: Track record of maximizing the value of Retail Media Investment with major retailers and retail networks (e.g., Amazon, Walmart, Tesco, Carrefour, etc). Ideally at a cross-market or global level.
  • Global Matrix Navigation: Experience leading complex projects in a highly matrixed, multi-brand global company, with a proven ability to influence regional and local teams without direct authority.
  • Stakeholder management: Confidence managing large stakeholder groups, ensuring teams achieve shared objectives
  • Collaboration: Experience translating across teams with competing priorities. A people-person who builds trust and influences without authority.
  • Agency & SOW Management: Experience directing large agency networks and managing complex, multi-million-dollar project agreements and deliverables
  • Technical Savvy: Strong familiarity with programmatic media, ad tech/mar tech infrastructure, RMNs. Familiarity with data governance, taxonomy management, and data-driven measurement. Able to navigate and translate between technical and business conversations and stakeholders with ease
  • Desirable: Affinity with Chinese e-commerce and retail ecosystems.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Joint Business Partnerships Program Orchestration

  • Strategic JBP Facilitation: Strong collaborative relationships with our key advertising partners is critical to our business success. This role will lead and orchestrate the Joint Business Partnerships program for Mars Snacking, acting as the key facilitator connecting our brand teams, regional and local market teams, and global advertising platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, Amazon, OpenAI).
  • Operational Alignment: Drive cross-functional collaboration to align strategic priorities, unlock unique partner capabilities, and accelerate the transformation roadmap with particular focus on delivering value and innovation with our partners. Together with our agency partners ensure value is delivered across all paid, earned, shared and owned opportunities.
  • Escalation & Resolution: Serve as the central point of contact and governance escalation to resolve operational, partnership, and commercial barriers, ensuring program momentum.

Retail Media Strategy & Acceleration

  • Global Capability & Strategy: Set the overall global strategy, playbooks, and toolkits that enable markets to maximize value from their retail media networks (RMNs) and digital commerce investments.
  • Outside-In Innovation: Identify and scale industry best practices (e.g., retailer search, offsite programmatic media, data partnerships) to ensure maximum commercial returns from media investments.
  • Test & Learn Roadmap: Define, drive, and govern a global Retail Media Test & Learn agenda across key regions, testing new performance tactics and measuring incrementality.
  • Retail Media AdTech and Reporting: Own the AdTech roadmap and successful implementation and usage to continually increase our retail media effectiveness together with key agency partners. Be the main stakeholder for our Measurement organization to unlock Reporting and Measurement (e.g. MMM rollout) capabilities globally.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 153,600.00 - USD 211,200.00
