Job Description

Job Description:

P&O Business Partner [KEC]

As the People & Organization Business Partner, you will be responsible for delivering the P&O agenda at the King Abdullah Economic City (KEC) site. The role will act as the primary point of contact for associates and line managers, providing day-to-day P&O support and ensuring a positive and consistent associate experience.

The role will drive associate engagement, performance and development, recruitment, onboarding, learning administration, and core people processes. The P&O Advisor will work closely with site leadership, people managers, and the wider P&O team to implement people initiatives, address associate needs, and support the delivery of the site’s business and people priorities.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive, approachable, and organized P&O professional who is passionate about people and creating a positive workplace experience.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently at the site while remaining closely connected to the broader P&O team. They should be able to build trusted relationships with associates and managers, balance operational responsibilities with people-focused initiatives, and follow through effectively on commitments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A genuine passion for supporting associates and improving their workplace experience.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A hands-on, solution-oriented, and proactive approach.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
  • Confidence in supporting managers and associates across different P&O processes.
  • Good judgment and the ability to escalate complex matters appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Comfort working with HR systems, data, and administrative processes.
  • The ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Drive associate engagement initiatives and support action plans that improve the overall associate experience and workplace culture.
  • Support performance management, talent development, career planning, and capability-building activities.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including job requisitions, interviews, candidate selection, and hiring documentation.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and positive associate experience.
  • Support the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinate training activities, and track completion of mandatory learning.
  • Provide day-to-day P&O guidance and support to associates and line managers.
  • Manage P&O administration, associate records, employment documentation, trackers, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Government Relations, Shared Services, and other teams to resolve associate queries.
  • Support the implementation of site, local, regional, and global P&O programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, local labor requirements, and data-confidentiality standards.

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • A strong focus on learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.

What are the Main Qualifications of the role?

  • Ability to work on-site at King Abdullah Economic City and commute.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or any field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, People & Organization, or a similar people-focused role.
  • Previous experience supporting employees and managers in a site-based, manufacturing, operational, or fast-paced environment is preferred.
  • Practical experience in engagement, performance management, learning and development, recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration.
  • Good working knowledge of Saudi labor regulations and standard HR practices is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
