The role is accountable for excellent operational results across Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental, Engineering standards, Compliance and Security for the site. It is an integral and active member of the Waltham Operations leadership team and as such has shared responsibility for the development and execution of the overall operational strategy and site masterplan.
What are we looking for?
- Educated to Degree level in an engineering discipline (essential), or equivalent
- Engineering/construction background
- Significant line manager and people leadership experience with proven ability to build and lead high performing teams.
- Previous experience of operational performance delivery, contract management, quality systems and lean methodologies.
- A proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally
What will be your key responsibilities?
- A key member of the Waltham Operations Leadership Team
- Accountable for the day-to-day operational delivery of all Waltham maintenance tasks and the strategic development and oversight of the IFM contract. This includes the development, tracking and delivery of relevant KPIs through strong governance and audit processes.
- Accountable for the creation, design, development and implementation of the Waltham Site masterplan and a road map that delivers the required site investment. This includes collating input from key stakeholders and engaging them in this work.
- Accountable for Financial, Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Welfare and Environmental standards on all Waltham engineering roles, ensuring that appropriate metrics and continuous improvement targets are defined, monitored and met.
- Leads a team of approx. 7 direct and up to 10 indirect reports in line with The Five Principles and Associate concept
