BACKGROUND

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Petcare Project Management team as European Project Management Team Leader becoming a key part of the Strategy Deployment team.

THE JOB

The role has 3 key elements –

[1] Engage & lead cross-functional teams to deliver growth & value leadership pipeline projects. This includes driving stage gate governance and providing clear recommendations, trade-offs, and escalations to the respective Segment Teams.

[2] Facilitating the input/output to the Segment Team to drive the first step of the regional decision-making process. Supporting the segment manager in critical thinking regarding synergy and resource optimisation within the activity pipeline, plus leading continuous improvements within the department.

[3] Line management of 6 European Project Managers providing excellent Line management and coaching mentoring to support their own project delivery.

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive professional project management experience
  • Project and Process Management expertise and Facilitation skills
  • Sound business understanding. Preferably functional Expertise in either Activity Management, Supply, R&D or Marketing
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken). Other languages beneficial
  • High level of pro-activeness and willingness to take responsibility. High communication capability.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Project management of A & B regional growth/vaule leadership projects in line with the PNE activity pipeline/segment strategy.
  • Lead regional cross functional teams through the Quest process from New Project Request through to Post Launch Review. Provide transparency on project progress, key risks, scenarios and enabling actions
  • Provide clear recommendations/escalations to the Segment Teams to drive on time, in full delivery of agreed activity set.
  • Drive pipeline synergy & resource optimisation thinking within the agreed activity pipeline to maximize value creation
  • Line Manager excellence for the team of European Project Managers.
  • Active member of regional EPM community driving continuous improvement within the broader strategy deployment team.
