Environment Specialist

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy environmental standard follow to Mars standard and Thai regulation.
• Conduct daily site walk to monitoring and ensure all condition compliance to environmental requirement.
• Conduct environmental activities to enhance associates’ awareness.
• Lead to implement and deploy chemical and hazardous material risk management.
• Conduct environmental training course for associates by follow through Mars and Thai law requirement.
• Ensure all environmental permit and required report was submitted to governance within time line.
• Conduct workplace monitoring program to prevent any pollution follow to Thai regulation.
• To be a Pollution Controller to manage implementation and maintenance of the PCH sustainability and environmental management system and coordinate technical services such as environmental aspect identification, energy reduction, waste minimization environmental incident investigation, environmental inspection, project review, training etc. to ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and MARS policy.
• Identifies physically and socially responsible methods of reducing the business unit’s environmental footprint and maintains relationships with governmental authorities on matters of mutual concern including voluntary certification (e.g., ISO 14001 registration).
• Coordinates and facilitates Sustainability/Environmental working team to identify projects, activities and behavior required to achieve business targets and objectives, sustain and improve sustainability roadmap (energy, water, waste) for achieving site/MARS reduction targets in the timely including track and manage systems and processes to ensure timely and accurate Sustainability and Environmental reporting in support of Global, Regional, Division requirements.
• Develops, maintains and improves air emission management, legionella management, storm water management, waste water management, underground storage tank / aboveground storage tank to ensure compliance with Environmental regulations and MARS policy.
• Supports and recommends in term of specific regulatory to wastewater treatment operation and wastewater management program to ensure compliance with Environmental regulations and MARS policy.
• Develops, support, improves and recommends for waste management and permission to prevent environmental impact and ensure compliance with Environmental regulations and MARS policy.
• Conducts, coordinates and recommends for environmental monitoring program such as air emission, boundary noise etc. for controlling and preventing nuisances both of internal & external complaints.
• Initiates efforts to improve environmental conditions in the community and to foster associate wellness and directs response to emergency situations dealing with the environment or the community.
• Support and recommend waste management and disposal for DCs as required.

Qualifications

1. Education & Professional Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, environmental engineering or science technology or related fields

2. Knowledge/Experience

• 5 years in environmental management field and have experience with below topic.
• ISO14001 system
• Safety and Security Management experience is preferred.
• Professional certification preferred (Certified Pollution Controller Air, Waste water, Waste), Certified Hazardous Materials controller.
• Experienced in Safety management system is a plusComprehensive of food and beverage industry and country HSE requirement.
• Good command in English both spoken and written.
• MS office
