Job Description:

Education & Training Lead
Job purpose

Defines and leads the site E&T roadmap to build organizational capability and support CBN and business objectives. As the E&T Pillar Leader and regional E&T CoD member, ensures workforce capability is developed in line with E&T strategy, standards, and governance within the MSE framework.

What would be your key responsibilities?

Strategic E&T Leadership & MSE Business Partnership

  • Drive Site Capability Strategy: Serve as the primary strategic partner and subject matter expert (SME) to the Site Leadership Team, steering the Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) Education & Training (E&T) pillar.

  • Define Capability Frameworks: Design, implement, and govern the factory capability framework in strict alignment with MSE guidelines; establish clear role definitions, standardized skill assessment processes, and highly visible site-wide training matrices across all value streams.

  • Manage E&T Budget: Architect, negotiate, and govern the site training budget to ensure alignment with the site financial plan while maximizing return on learning investment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Standardization

  • Standardize Learning Processes: Partner closely with regional and local SMEs, Value Stream Managers, and Team Leaders to establish, maintain, and audit sustainable site-level E&T process standards.

  • Systematize Knowledge Flow: Own and optimize the site’s structured onboarding, cross-training, knowledge capture, and knowledge transfer programs to ensure standard work is consistently sustained.

  • Manage External Vendors: Source, evaluate, and manage strategic partnerships with external training providers to supplement internal capabilities where required.

Training Execution, Tooling & Technology

  • Deploy Digital Learning Tools: Design, implement, and facilitate engaging learning tools, utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) to track, measure, and scale shop-floor capability.

  • Deliver Hands-on Training: Deliver high-impact training on core operational topics (including Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS), Structured Problem Solving, and Autonomous Maintenance (AM)) and spearhead "Train-the-Trainer" programs to build a self-sustaining coaching culture.

Team Leadership & Business Continuity

  • Lead and Develop People: Direct and coach the site Training Coordinators, ensuring they effectively execute job assessments to validate shop-floor skills.

  • Mitigate Capability Risks: Proactively analyze skill gaps and training matrices to update curriculum, safeguard business continuity, and directly support site performance targets.
