We are seeking a senior SAP Basis professional to act as the internal technical authority and service governance lead for a large, complex SAP landscape operating in a hybrid model (On-Premise, Hyperscaler Cloud, and RISE with SAP).

This role is accountable for coordinating the external AMS partner, governing SLAs and KPIs, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining end-to-end service performance across multiple hosting models and service providers.

The ideal candidate combines deep SAP technical expertise with strong vendor governance, cloud operational knowledge, and executive-level communication skills.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Day-to-day management of AMS partner (40+ people in the team) to support SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP BW on Hana, SLT, BODS, MDG, CFIN and PaPM, amongst other SAP products, hosted on-premises, hyperscaler and on RISE with SAP.

  • Run weekly service review calls with L1, L2 and L3 support groups, review the documentation upfront of the calls and provide an update to the stakeholders.

  • Own the incident management, ensure the incidents are captured on time, the root cause analysis is progressing with the regular updates, fixes are applied, documented and the knowledge is shared within the team. For highly critical incidents, step up to assist with the management of the incident and organize timely communications with the stakeholders. For repetitive incidents, ensure the problems are opened, regular reporting on problems’ resolution is provided.

  • Assistance in organizing the regular preventive maintenance activities according to the requirements from audit and SAP platforms owner. Define infrastructure requirements and interact with other infrastructure teams to proper setup/configure new components.

  • Ensure the support team is following the Change Management process at Mars.

  • Understand the current gaps in the processes execution and improve the services provided by L1, L2 and L3 support groups.

  • Organize additional procedures and reporting like Perform Capacity Planning and Performance Tunning analysis on our critical systems to ensure their reliability.

  • Provide and maintain quality documentation for activities above whenever relevant.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis operations/projects including, but not limited to SAP S/4HANA, ERP, BW, SCM, CFIN, PaPM.

  • Experience in IT infrastructure or IT application project or operations, with good ability to influence and interact with people, located remotely and across the globe.

  • Experience with Databases (Oracle, HANA, SQL Server) and OS (Linux RedHat / Windows 2k16 and above).

  • Experience with solutions in Cloud (IaaS and PaaS) (preferrable Azure).

  • Strong understanding of SAP RISE operating model and hybrid (on-prem + cloud) landscapes.

  • Knowledge of cloud/hyperscaler environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) within managed SAP contexts.

  • Experience managing vendors and holding them accountable to SLAs and KPIs.

  • Effective English communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

  • Ability to operate effectively in dynamic and evolving environments

  • Experience/Certifications on DevOps and agile methodologies is a plus.
