Location: Slough, UK

Hybrid Working- 50% at hub site

Salary £60,000-£75,000 + bonus + benefits

As a Demand Data as a Service (DDaaS) – Data Product Functional Lead in the DDaaS team, your primary role will be to create, deploy, and oversee the design and delivery of the Source Agnostic Model. The Information Delivery Senior Lead is responsible for designing and implementing efficient and scalable data models, ensuring seamless integration of data from various sources and systems.

This role requires expertise in collaborating with vendors, data modeling, data governance, functional data security, data visualization, troubleshooting, and optimization techniques. The DDaaS – Data Product Functional Lead will collaborate with senior business stakeholders, functional experts, data analysts, and IT teams to understand data requirements and drive effective user-centric data-driven decision-making.

What are we looking for?

  • Functional Data Modeling & Data Architecture (Azure, Google, SAP, HANA, etc.)
  • Functional Domain Experience (e.g., Sales & Demand, Finance, Logistics Domain Knowledge)
  • Functional Data Governance & Security
  • Experience in Data Warehousing Technologies (SAP or HANA or Azure or Google)
  • Experience in Support Process and Change Management (Operational Excellence)
  • Experience in other Cloud Information Architecture (Google, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience in other Big Data Technologies
  • SAP or HANA Data Warehousing Technologies
  • Experience in Data Integration Technologies, Data Catalog

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Developing a strategic functional / delivery roadmap: You are responsible for creating a functional delivery roadmap that aligns with market/segment demand, incorporates best practices, and adapts to emerging trends. This roadmap should outline the development of data, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You work closely with the vendor delivery teams, DDaaS Functional Data Architect, functional experts, subject matter experts (SMEs), and functional business partnership teams. Your collaboration involves designing and developing data product capabilities across different markets, segments, and functions.

  • Staying updated on domain & industry trends: You continuously stay informed about external best practices, trends, and insights from vendors, analysts, and peer companies. This knowledge allows you to provide scalable information delivery capabilities for various business functions such as Sales, Demand, Supply, Finance, and more.

  • Translating local market demand into global capabilities: You work with the global functional experts along with the regional business partnership community to understand local demands and translate them into global capabilities. This involves aligning local requirements with the functional roadmap to ensure the overall strategic goals are met.

  • Recommending and implementing improvements: You play a crucial role in recommending and developing information delivery improvements. Additionally, you have the ability to influence the IT strategy for functional areas, driving enhancements and efficiencies in data product capabilities.

  • Identifying opportunities for new capabilities: You will identify opportunities to develop and deploy new global capabilities through various programs and initiatives. This involves recognizing gaps in existing data product offerings and proposing innovative solutions to address them.
