The CRM & 1PD Strategy Manager for Pet Nutrition will play a critical role in our transformation to become a digital-first organization that drives organic growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager, OMNI & Shopper Marketing, this role is a visible leadership position within the North American COE and PN Canada organization.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years minimum experience with deep expertise in CRM, digital strategy, and audience insights.

  • CRM Experience (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) is a must.

  • Demonstrated experience in complex project leadership and project management.

  • Proven experience in managing external agencies and partnerships, data partners and marketing technology vendors.

  • Experience partnering with digital functional IT teams and a strong enthusiasm for technology platforms and solutions.

  • Prior audience-driven campaign execution experience, preferably within CPG, eComm and/or Direct to Consumer.

  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for leveraging data to drive marketing strategies.

*This associate will steward the end-to-end processes for data acquisition, data flow, quality audits, and audience activation by partnering with cross-functional teams and agency partners.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Digital Strategy Leadership: Lead the overall digital strategy for 1PD acquisition and utilization for Pet Nutrition Canada.

  • CRM Platform Management: Oversee the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to ensure optimal performance and user adoption.

  • Collaboration with NA COE Team: Accelerate 1PD collection efforts in partnership with the North America Center of Excellence (NA COE) team, including designing and scaling brand and portfolio recruitment programs and tools that create mutual value exchange on our brand websites.

  • Email and SMS Program Oversight: Oversee brand and portfolio-led email and SMS programs, including broadcast and trigger campaigns to enhance customer engagement.

  • Brand-led CRM Optimization: Optimize and further develop brand-led CRM programs, focusing on retention and loyalty initiatives to strengthen customer relationships.

  • Marketing Partnership & Recruitment Planning: Partner with marketing teams (brand, external, and internal agency teams) to lead the development of a comprehensive CRM strategy that aligns with business objectives. Leveraging 1PD to advise brand teams on recruitment planning.

  • External Agency Management: Own external agency partnerships including strategy & creative briefing, Single Consent & ID, Sign-On (SSO), CRM, and CDP; align Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure successful execution.

  • Global Transformation Collaboration: Collaborate with Global Transformation teams to set up a mutualized technology stack centered around CRM and CDP integration, enabling more efficient spending and resource allocation.

  • Data Strategy Development: Formulate a comprehensive 1PD data strategy that enables more effective marketing across recruitment activities, enhancing targeting and engagement with potential candidates.

  • Audience Insights Analysis: Analyze customer data to derive actionable insights that inform marketing strategies, campaign development, and audience engagement initiatives.

  • Reporting and Analytics: Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on SFMC functionalities, best practices, and data management processes.

  • Compliance and Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal policies, maintaining the integrity and security of customer data.
