Objectives and Responsibilities:

The AI Assisted Technical Lead leads a AI-augmented task force team, which is responsible for AI coding environment setup, project source codes review, code base build up as well as coding / implementation for ad-hoc business requirements. This role would provide strategic oversight while ensuring seamless transition to assume code ownership.

1.The technical lead plays a technical and managerial role where he oversees the activities of the AI assisted software engineer and DevOps engineer, ensuring proper execution of their duties and alignment of all activities with the business’s overall vision and objectives.

2.This role ensures that the team adopts best-in-class AI-assisted processes and techniques for code review, architecture decisions, and legacy modernization as well as leading the rollout of AI capabilities, analytic frameworks, and best practices.

3.The technical lead ensures that the team is constantly building effective working relationships and delivering AI-enabled solutions that drive the business objectives.

4.The technical lead also provides mentorship and guidance to team members while simultaneously guaranteeing code quality, architectural integrity, and compliance within the department.

5.The technical lead will also play a technical leadership role researching, designing, implementing, and deploying full-stack scalable AI-augmented development vision and solutions for various business issues and challenges.

6.The technical lead also manages complex system dependencies, discovering insights, and identifying opportunities through the use of AI code agents, architecture mapping, and data visualization techniques.

7.The technical lead also plays a strategic role where he is tasked with formulating new and creative ideas for leveraging AI tools (like Cursor, Claude Code, CodeRabbit, etc.) to accelerate source code ownership transfer and lead solution development for various business needs (e.g. data reporting).

Required Qualifications:

1.The AI Assisted Technical Lead must have a bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related technical field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position.

2.A candidate for this position must have had at least 5 years of working experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering capacity within a fast-paced and complex business setting, preferably with experience in microservice based complex platform level solutions or handover projects.

3.The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in multiple coding stacks, including Java, python, Node.js/TypeScript and mainstream development framework, e.g. microservice development framework. Proficiency in mainstream database systems, e.g. Hbase, Mongo DB, MySQL etc.

4.The candidate will also be proficiency in working with AI coding agents and tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, CodeRabbit, or similar generative AI development platforms.

5.The candidate must also have had substantial experience in coding, code review, architecture decision-making, and full-life cycle software development as well as experience working with modern DevOps and CI/CD tools.

6.A suitable candidate for this position will also have had experience in system architecture mapping, dependency analysis, and event-driven refactoring inclusive of legacy code migration projects.

7.The candidate will also have had experience working with large-scale codebases as well as experience cleaning, organizing, and documenting complex technical environments.

8.Experience working with GPT, RAG, and other Gen AI tech related to software engineering would be much preferred.

Communication skills are an absolute necessity both in written and verbal form, especially when translating business requirements into design and other documents for AI coding / technical decisions.
