Activity Manager

Mars Drinks & Treats

Maidenhead, UK (office 2/3 days per week, with flexibility on other days)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Activity Manager to work within Drinks & Treats; a stand-alone entrepreneurial division of Mars, focused on extending our well-known Brands into new categories through external partners.

The Activity Manager will lead cross functional teams to deliver projects within agreed timelines for several categories. The role is critical in ensuring delivery of the Drinks & Treats innovation pipeline and other product activities whilst maintaining quality, speed and agility. These projects include new product development, core product optimisation as well as structural changes such as system/process implementation. The role is critical in ensuring the right balance of speed, agility and robustness as our business grows; with a target of >30% revenue from new products, this role will be responsible for continuing to develop and run the project management processes and templates.

The Activity Manager is responsible for ensuring objectives & timelines are being met and stakeholders have visibility of risk. A successful Activity Manager needs to be able to create strong collaborative relationships and be able to positively influence colleagues from all divisions / external suppliers to deliver the desired results.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong project management, planning and organisational skills, with experience of leading and delivering projects via cross-functional teams
  • Recognised interpersonal savvy and communication skills, with solid critical thinking skills and a proven ability to set priorities
  • A drive to make things happen, being highly organised, able to prioritise and a top problem-solver!

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Leadership of projects from initial project brief to completion in market, across multiple categories
  • Leading Activity Meetings, involving identifying and leading cross functional teams to deliver against the brief and ensuring that activity objectives and key deliverables are met
  • Being the ‘voice of reason’, having a non-biased view and manage critical conversations around this to ensure the activity comes to the right conclusion
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to time and finding solutions when off-track, creating and managing project timelines, identifying the critical path, key decision points and issues that may require escalation
  • Implementing and sharing learnings with relevant stakeholders

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with over 130,000 like-minded and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today
  • Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University
  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus

The Talent Acquisition Team are taking some time out over the end of the year to spend with friends and family. As a result you may not hear from us until January 2023.
