Being part of the Intra-Asia Market Uptake and Optimization team, the individual will be assigned with Intra-Asia services and be accountable for the daily coordination between Market/Revenue management and Customer Delivery operations. In charge of vessel space planning, in alignment with commercial drivers and operational capabilities. Such will require a strong drive, result oriented mindset and ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders. We are looking for candidates who are not afraid of taking charge and extracting value from complex situations.
Main objectives: commercial demand forecasting, vessel utilization, service reliability, cost control, support trade and commercial drivers. Ability to balance commercials and operational factors are key to success in this role. Uptake and optimization are the ones who know the booking (volume) pipeline and provide uptake visibility to commercial teams designing sales tactics. The person will also lead assigned projects including seasonal planning, forecasting, process improvement and others. As part of a team of 30 people, he/she will support colleagues with occasional back up planning and knowledge sharing, also contribute to keeping the positive working environment in the team

Stakeholder management via coordination across functions in regional and area offices.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor booking (volume) uptake via forecast and internal tools.
Manage space allocations with the aim of improving utilization and Trade performance.
Execute space planning and execution process, including cargo transfer and prioritization.
Assist in the development of seasonal network plans including rationalization or extra loaders.
Work closely with Commercial teams driving volumes.
Work closely with Marine & Vessel Operations team to ensure schedule reliability. Handle contingencies in case of operational constraints (i.e. port omissions, swaps, schedule delays, cargo overflows, etc.)
Work closely with Stowage Planners to optimize vessel intake.
Prepare and maintain contingency handbooks to facilitate daily decision-making process.
Assist Market Managers and Network Product owners with inputs for services improvement.
Contribute ideas to improving processes within the team and across different functions & departments.

At least 3 years of experience in Line operations, vessel planning, capacity, commercial or yield management.
