Maersk Project Logistics (MPL) is a specialized subset of the industry requiring an integrated approach to orchestrate material flow, order management, and shipment execution from multiple origins to defined locations. This includes transporting regular, out-of-gauge (OOG), and sensitive cargo across various modes (Ocean, Air, and Land) to ensure full, complete, and on-time delivery per the customer's project plan.

Our experts excel in solution design, special cargo transportation, asset management, and end-to-end project management, ensuring deliveries to often remote sites.

Position: Transport Pricing & Solution Specialist MPL

Role:

  • Exploring clients’ needs and scope the transport solutions.
  • Designing, pricing and presenting the transport solutions and selling the offerings to clients.
  • Continuously improve and innovate offerings to provide competitive solutions.
  • Explore markets for transport solutions and vendors & develop go-to-market strategies
  • Work closely with Sales to meet customer requirements with cost-effective, high-quality logistics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder management – both internal and external
  • Capture essential data to design, cost, and price customer solutions.
  • Develop detailed solution designs, including scope of services, operating models, cost estimates, pricing, value estimations, and draft P&L.
  • Calculate MPL size/scope based on customer RFQs.
  • Create process flows for key activities.
  • Provide engineering solutions and visualizations for technical responses in RFQs.
  • Contribute to tender processes and ensure competitive offers.
  • Cover all transport modes with support from colleagues.
  • Develop new logistics concepts and value propositions.
  • Develop our supplier base

Ideal Candidate:

  • Min. 2 year of documented experience within project logistics handling oversized goods.
  • Experience with shipping on Roro vessels, flat racks and chartered vessels and barges, Port operations, crane and lifting operations, jaking, skidding and sliding operations.
  • Self-driven, can-do attitude, organized, and composed in complex environments.
  • Collaborative role player and trusted partner.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Commercial knowledge and interest.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • High-level understanding of logistics products and solutions.
