Job Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-sales activities on application and integration solutions by:
    • Responding to RFQs/RFPs and questionnaires
    • Assisting BD/Sales in solution presentations
    • Coordinating with AOT on automation projects
    • Acting as a trusted business consultant for technology, leading discussions on technology application/solution related topics
  • Establish close and integrated ties with the operating business units by defining, implementing and supporting effective applications and integration to help the business improve efficiencies, reduce costs and support business growth.
  • Work with business and operation team to understand their requirement to implement and deliver the appropriate IT solution
  • Oversee the implementation all IT systems for new customers and major changes for existing customer portfolios.
  • Manage project pipeline from Business to ensure IT resources are adequately staff-up to align with required timeline
  • Deliver high level functional requirement, project plan, design and implementation strategies for major implementations design, solution, development, testing to go-live an hypercare
  • Translate operational requirements to integrated warehousing and transport management solutions by:
    • Working with implementation and operational teams to deliver Business Narrative (BUSNAR), Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and high level Solution Desing Documents (SDD).
    • Conduct the customer workshops for technology related integrations and solutions.
    • Define Functional Business Requirements (FBRs) and Change Requests (CRs) for the Solution Technical Leads to drive through to implementation.
  • Coordinate with Global Technology Customer Operations group and extended Maersk resources for the delivery of developments or customizations.
  • Manage and track projects progress, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation.

What we are looking for:

  • At least 5 years of implementing, managing and supporting warehouse management systems and Bl analysis tools.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an IT managerial role with direct and virtual teams.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the contract logistics and transport industries.
  • Business knowledge of supply chain execution in any or all of the following verticals: distribution centre services in warehouse operations and contract logistics (must have) and/or transport management
  • Experience in WMS and TMS solutions and application of such in a 3PL and 4PL service environment for global customers in consumer products and FMCG industry verticals.
  • Experience in MS SQL, or any SQL language will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in organizing and managing major IT projects for customer implementations and inflight customer operations.
  • Prepare implementation budgets and resourcing plans for projects.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills and a good team player.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationship with various levels of departments, stakeholders and customers.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Bachelor’s degree in science/information technology or Industrial engineering would be preferred.
