This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to coach and develop colleagues, improve operational processes and make a real impact on how effectively the site performs.

What you’ll be doing

Leading the operation

  • Set clear operational priorities and ensure the team understands daily objectives.
  • Monitor performance against customer and internal KPIs, identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
  • Support resource planning, including absence, sickness and operational cover.
  • Ensure equipment, processes and working practices are maintained to the required standards.

Leading and developing your team

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to colleagues.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support performance management where required.
  • Help identify training and development needs and maintain the operational training plan.

  • Encourage employee involvement through regular briefings and performance discussions.

Safety, security and compliance

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure required safety standards and procedures are followed.
  • Carry out workplace safety checks and support incident investigations.
  • Ensure appropriate security measures are followed to protect colleagues, the site, assets and customer products.
  • Support customer, regulatory and internal operational audits.
  • Ensure agreed company standards and procedures are consistently followed.

Customer & continuous improvement

  • Build positive relationships with internal and external customers, responding professionally to operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and service.
  • Support and lead continuous improvement activities within the operation.
  • Implement agreed improvements and ensure relevant operating procedures and training materials remain up to date.
  • Support environmental initiatives and improvements in operational efficiency.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with previous experience supervising or leading a team within a warehouse, logistics or fast-paced operational environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Previous warehouse supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong people management and coaching skills.
  • A good understanding of warehouse health, safety and operational standards.
  • Experience working with operational KPIs and performance measures.
  • Confidence managing day-to-day operational issues and priorities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify practical improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • A proactive, organised and hands-on approach to leadership.
