JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist is responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment within a fast-paced shipping and logistics environment at Maersk. This role acts as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, ensuring the attraction, assessment, and hiring of high-quality talent aligned with business goals, operational demands, and company culture.

1. Talent Sourcing

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce plans, hiring priorities, and role requirements across different functions.

  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies tailored to different talent segments (e.g., frontline operations, specialists, leadership roles).

  • Leverage multiple sourcing channels including job boards, LinkedIn, employee referrals, talent communities, and industry networks.

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for critical and recurring roles in logistics operations.

  • Promote and drive employee referral programs to increase hiring efficiency and quality.

2. Candidate Screening & Assessment

  • Conduct thorough CV screening against job requirements, competencies, and cultural fit.

  • Perform structured phone/video screenings to assess candidate experience, motivation, and alignment with the business.

  • Coordinate and facilitate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a consistent and high-quality candidate experience.

  • Utilize competency-based interviewing techniques and assessment tools where applicable.

  • Manage and review background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment verifications in line with company policy.

3. Stakeholder Management & Recruitment Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by providing market insights, talent availability, and hiring recommendations.

  • Guide stakeholders on best practices in hiring, including interview techniques, candidate evaluation, and decision-making.

  • Ensure timely communication and alignment with stakeholders throughout the recruitment lifecycle.

  • Drive accountability for hiring timelines, feedback quality, and decision-making.

4. Offer Management & Closing

  • Lead offer discussions, including compensation benchmarking, internal alignment, and approval processes.

  • Prepare and present competitive offers aligned with company policies and market conditions.

  • Manage candidate negotiations professionally to ensure successful offer acceptance.

  • Partner with HR and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to onboarding.

5. Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and analyze talent market trends, competitor hiring activities, salary benchmarks, etc.

  • Provide actionable insights to improve hiring strategies, hiring process, candidate experience, etc.

  • Support employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice.

6. Recruitment Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in ATS systems (Workday)

  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies, governance frameworks, and local labor laws.

  • Track and report key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, sourcing effectiveness, etc.).

  • Support audit requirements and ensure proper documentation of hiring decisions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably within logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or similarly fast-paced industries.

  • Have at least a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end recruitment across multiple job levels and functions.

  • Strong ability to assess candidates holistically, including technical capability, potential, and cultural fit.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and advise hiring managers constructively.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics and drive improvements.

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and resilient in a fast-paced environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

  • Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
