About Maersk Air Cargo

At A.P. Moller-Maersk we have a vision that’s larger than the ocean: To provide truly integrated logistics connecting and simplifying our customers’ supply chain through global end-to-end solutions. To succeed with our strategic ambitions, Maersk Air Cargo (MAC) plays a vital role in offering cargo transport by air for customers globally.

In MAC we have vast experience as an air cargo and ACMI operator, currently operating and managing a fleet consisting of +/-20 Boeing freighters with bases in Cologne and Leipzig, Germany, and Billund, Denmark.

What we can offer

Maersk Air Cargo offers an open-minded workplace with an opportunity to take ownership and bring your ideas to life in order to reach the best outcome. Additionally, we pride ourselves in focusing on both professional and personal development while also offering great working conditions with a good and informal tone, where everybody contributes to solutions to the daily challenges across all departments.

About the role

This job posting is for a Student Assistant within our People department at Maersk Air Cargo. You will work closely with our Senior People Aviation Manager and support her in structuring work processes and documentation, primarily in relation to employment law and onboarding processes in general. Ideally, you will lead the development of an online repository for all documentation within the different entities, create overviews, and analyse and optimise business processes, support different employee cases and support in writing minutes and other legal documentation. Part of the work will involve routine tasks, while the rest will challenge you and offer valuable insights into a variety of legal cases.

While you’re not expected to have in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, an interest in employment law would be a plus. This role focuses on bringing structure and supporting the People department with legal documentation. Your work in this role will have a direct impact on our operations as it will help us to ensure constant compliance with regulations across the 3 different entities in which we operate.

You are expected to work 15 hours per week within normal working hours with flexibility during exam periods. Some work can likely be done from home/remotely, though you will mostly need to be present our offices in Nordhavn.

What we are looking for

  • Currently enrolled in a university or college program in/around Copenhagen (required), preferably on your last years of your Bachelor’s degree or your first year of your Master’s degree
  • Preferably enrolled in a field such as Legal Studies or Human Resource Management —for example, BSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law, MSc of Laws, MSc in Business Administration and Commercial Law, or MSc in Human Resource Management
  • An interest in aviation and employment relations.
  • Advanced digital skills with strong capabilities within programs such as Sharepoint, Excel, Power BI.
  • A good ability to structure complex data and present it coherently.
  • An ability to handle confidential information accordingly.

  • While English is our working language, some documentation will be in Danish. Consequently, good knowledge of Danish or another Scandinavian language is highly desired.
  • A strong ability to work structured, independently, and with an attention to detail.

If you're ready to take on this challenge and make a tangible difference, let's connect. We're excited to see what you’ll bring to the team!
