Site Manager Opportunity

As Site Manager, you will have full accountability for the operational and financial performance of our warehousing and distribution activities at site level.

This is a significant transformation and growth opportunity. Following changes to the site’s customer portfolio, the operation is entering an important period of stabilisation, engagement, and commercial development. We are looking for a resilient and people-focused leader who can provide clear direction, strengthen employee morale, optimise the operation for current activity levels, and build confidence in the site’s future.

In addition to leading the operational turnaround, you will bring a strong commercial mindset. Working with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, you will help identify and develop new business opportunities, support customer implementations, and position the site for sustainable and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full profit and loss accountability for the site, monitoring productivity, utilisation, service performance, and cost efficiency.
• Lead the site through a period of operational stabilisation and renewal, setting clear priorities and aligning resources with customer activity.
• Rebuild engagement and strengthen morale by communicating openly, providing visible leadership, and creating a positive and supportive workplace.
• Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, while partnering with sales teams to identify and convert growth opportunities.
• Lead warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, security, environmental, regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
• Drive Lean initiatives, operational optimisation, quality improvements, and sustainable improvements to service and profitability.
• Lead, coach, and develop site employees and leadership teams, supporting capability building, retention, succession planning, and high performance.

What We Are Looking For

• Continuous improvement mindset: We are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset, curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Operations Manager within warehousing, logistics, distribution, or omnichannel fulfilment operations.
• Demonstrated profit and loss responsibility, with strong financial acumen and the ability to act on operational and financial performance data.
• Resilient and empathetic leadership, with the ability to lead through uncertainty, engage employees, restore confidence, and maintain a clear focus on delivery.
• Strong customer, stakeholder, negotiation, and influencing skills, ideally gained within a complex international matrix organisation.
• Commercial awareness and a business development mindset, with the ability to recognise customer needs, identify growth opportunities, and support tenders and customer implementations.
