Our Opportunity

The Senior Buyer is responsible to develop and execute the Area procurement pipeline in strategic alignment with the area business plans. Be a business partner to site managers, product, commercial and Regional Category teams in delivering optimized costs through cost effective, compliant and quality procurement solutions.

Category Responsible in an Area for Warehouse and Depot services, external workforce and EST at Chile. Responsible for aligning strategies and vendor relationships in close alignment with Area Product Team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Overall responsible for optimizing the procurement spend across the Warehouse and depots, covering all brands of Maersk Group.
• Enable sustainable and profitable growth through best-in-class sourcing, optimizing operational behaviors and supplier innovation.
• Work close to product, commercial & regional category departments to develop smart solutions and support business growth through a thorough understanding of the commercial opportunities.
• Drive and support the development and implementation of digital solutions to optimize the procurement process and contract value handovers etc.
• Ensure compliance is managed to the expectations of the Maersk internal policies and procurement guidelines processes.
• Manage vendor relationships including performance management on strategic and tactical level in line with portfolio scope

Who We Are Looking For

• Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics; Engineering; Business Administration, International Trade or similar.
• Experience: Procurement and industry experience (3 to 5 years as minimum). Outstanding Negotiation, partnering and influencing skills. Influence different levels of stakeholders internally and externally. Out of box thinking when looking for new solutions & initiatives.
• Language: Spanish Advanced, English intermediate-advanced.
• IT: High proficiency working with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Power BI and ERP.
