Job Description

Maersk H2S Safety Services is looking for a Base Manager / Sales Executive to handle the commercial side of our Australian business. The role is focused on selling and promoting our services, managing client relationships, and driving sales performance.

We’re looking for someone with solid industry experience who can deal confidently with clients, build trust, and win work.

You’ll lead sales and client activity for the Australian base, report directly to the Managing Director, and work closely with the wider business to support customers and grow the operation.

We Offer

Maersk H2S Safety Services is a global safety services company and an independent business unit within Maersk. We provide gas safety and HSE services, supporting customers working in demanding and high‑risk environments.

This role is part of the commercial side of our Australian business, working mainly with clients in the oil & gas and maritime sectors. You’ll be joining a professional team where safety comes first and expectations are clear. The focus is on supporting customers, selling services, and managing the sales base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the commercial management of the Australian sales base

  • Driving sales and securing new clients and contracts

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and contracts

  • Building and maintaining strong, long‑term client relationships

  • Identifying new business opportunities within gas safety and HSE services

  • Working closely with Operations to ensure a smooth handover from sale to delivery

  • Representing Maersk H2S Safety Services professionally in the local market

We are looking for

You have experience in sales, client relations, or commercial roles within a relevant industry and are comfortable dealing directly with customers. Industry experience is more important to us than formal qualifications. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, commercially minded, and willing to take responsibility.

Workplace is Sales, Vic, AUS.

  • Experience in sales, client relations, or commercial management

  • Background in safety services, oil & gas, maritime, industrial, or similar sectors

  • Clear and confident communication style

  • Practical, results‑focused approach

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willing to travel (approximately 40–50 days per year)
