Moller - Maersk, APM Terminals has been lifting standards for developing and operating advanced ports and container terminals for over half a century (as an independent division since January 2001). The Regional Marketing Manager reports to APM Terminals' Head of Marketing, Brand & Content. The Communications, Branding & Marketing team at APM Terminals focuses on:
Packaging and promoting APM Terminals' value propositions to customers, government stakeholders, and talent
Positioning, managing and activating the APM Terminals brand, internally and externally
Establishing APM Terminals as a thought leader on key themes
Creating and managing content across various channels, including earned, owned, shared, and paid media, for both internal and external audiences
Key responsibilities of the role
As Regional Marketing Communications Manager for <insert region> at APM Terminals, you will oversee the strategic, creative, and operational direction of all regional marketing, branding, and thought leadership activities. Your role will be crucial in increasing visibility, lift awareness and build better perception for APM Terminals among key audiences in the region, including governments, port authorities, and businesses.
You will develop regional marketing plans, manage projects and budgets, and oversee key events, media partnerships, and sponsorships.
Collaborating with your global team colleagues, you will provide guidance, narratives, and tools to regional and terminal colleagues in Communications, Concession Excellence, Investment, and Public Affairs, enabling them to harness the full potential of marketing and branding to achieve business objectives.
In this role, you will:
Development and activation of the regional APM Terminals positioning and narrative in <insert region> to strengthen our thought leadership position
Driving or supporting the development, packaging, and activation of value propositions in key markets, aligned with APM Terminals' growth ambitions.
Creating marketing materials to support the activation of our regional positioning or local value propositions, providing teams with the necessary tools and materials to operate effectively.
Developing and activating regional external campaigns, events, and sponsorships to increase APM Terminals' visibility among key audiences, including governmental stakeholders and customers.
Supporting regional leaders in their external positioning, both offline and online.
Driving and managing global brand, marketing and content guidelines, processes, and standards in the region.
Building expertise and offering support to regional and terminal teams on campaigns, content, and activating, and design learning modules and workshops as needed.
Collaborate with global, regional, and local branding, communications, media relations, marketing, and public affairs colleagues to ensure a unified and comprehensive approach to increasing visibility in the region.
Manage budgets, projects, and relationships with external partners and agencies (if needed) to achieve marketing communications excellence.
What you bring:
You have at least 15 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, and/or Branding in a B2B environment, preferably in the logistics or port industry.
You're skilled in developing powerful marketing or communications plans, strategies, and narratives, and can also execute the tactics, such as creating content, campaigns, events, or other marketing materials.
You have experience managing large, complex marketing and communication projects across multiple levels in a large global organization, with a hands-on approach to multi-disciplined marketing.
You're familiar with managing ongoing relationships with external vendors and agencies to develop and deliver effective campaigns and materials.
You're a fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, who can communicate clearly, persuasively, collaboratively, and influentially.
You're highly independent, creative, driven, organized, and capable of delivering in a fast-paced environment.
As a seasoned leader, you're a trusted advisor across leadership functions, extending beyond your own team and function.
