The Regional Communications & Media Advisor supports the development and execution of communication strategies across internal and external channels. This role contributes to shaping our brand's public image, supports media engagement, and assists with internal and executive communications. The Coordinator will help create and manage content across platforms—leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and consistency—ensuring messaging aligns with our business goals and strengthens our market presence in North America.
Responsibilities
Support the Maersk North America media strategy under the guidance of the Regional Head of Communication, helping ensure alignment with global objectives.
Draft and coordinate external communications including press releases, media briefings, and executive communication materials, with a focus on US business and trade media. This includes supporting crisis communication efforts as directed.
Assist with social media content creation, covering corporate news, employee stories, and issue management, while supporting global social media needs. Use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, generative AI platforms) to accelerate content drafting, repurpose assets across channels, and optimize posting strategies.
Help build and maintain relationships with key media contacts in North America, particularly in the US, to support brand visibility.
Support internal communication efforts across various channels, contributing to employee engagement and leadership messaging in the North America region.
Assist with internal leadership communication to help maintain consistency and alignment in messaging, including preparing drafts, talking points, and briefing materials.
Contribute to other communication projects as needed, supporting both regional and global initiatives. Proactively identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve communications workflows, such as media monitoring, sentiment analysis, and reporting.

Competencies
Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex and technical topics for diverse audiences.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders by listening, learning, and executing consistently.
Comfortable communicating with various audiences and using platforms and social media communities to support conversation and engagement.
Proficiency with O365 tools (including MS Teams, Viva Engage, and SharePoint); experience with or enthusiasm for AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, AI writing assistants, media monitoring platforms) is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with AI applications in corporate communications, such as AI-assisted content drafting, data-driven audience insights, and automated media analysis, is highly valued.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Quantitive experience of related activity of 8+ years of experience
Knowledgeable on Freight Forwarding operations & finances
Core Competencies: Financial Awareness, Integrity, Analytical Skills, Attention to Detail, Coaching, Communication & Self-Motivation, and Discipline
Efficiency with MS software/tools
Experience with CargoWise One software
Domestic travel is expected for <15% of time.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 USD*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
