Project Manager – Customer Implementation
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Project Manager for a temporary position (vikariat), which will extend until 31 August 2027.
As a Project Manager – Customer Implementation you will drive and deliver customer onboarding and implementation projects within Nordic Customs operations.
Customer Implementation Management plays a key role in leading the end-to-end implementation process, bridging sales and operational activities—from sales award through onboarding to stable operations. In this role, you will act as the customer’s main point of coordination during implementations and issue resolution, ensuring a smooth and structured transition of new or additional business into the organization.
You will be responsible for driving implementation plans across NDC, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality and compliant delivery. The role includes managing the transition to steady-state operations and ensuring proper closure of implementation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end customer implementation and onboarding projects from sales handover through go-live and transition into stable operations, acting as the primary customer contact and ensuring alignment across customer requirements, operational processes, and system solutions.
- Drive implementation execution across functions and geographies by managing scope, timelines, risks, testing, go-live activities, stakeholder engagement, and structured governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support transformation and automation initiatives connected to customer implementations, identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual work, and contribute to scalable and standardized solution design.
- Ensure successful operational handover and project closure through effective documentation, compliance management, maintenance of SOPs and work instructions, and continuous improvement across onboarding and customs-related processes.
We are looking for:
A proactive and structured professional with experience in customer implementation, onboarding, project delivery, or operational development. You enjoy driving initiatives forward, working across teams, and creating smooth transitions from planning to execution.
To be successful in this role, we believe you bring the following:
- Experience in customer implementation, onboarding, project delivery, or operations, preferably within Customs or logistics.
- Experience working with the United platform or similar systems and translating business needs into operational solutions. Proven ability to manage projects or workstreams and deliver results in a structured and efficient way.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
- The ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical and sustainable solutions.
- An analytical and solution-oriented mindset combined with a hands-on approach.
- Ownership, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset in a changing environment.
- Professional proficiency in English and one or more Nordic languages.
