- Work in a dynamic port and vessel operations environment supporting international shipping activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, port authorities, terminals, and government agencies.
- Gain hands-on experience across vessel husbandry, port clearance, and operational execution processes.
- Develop operational expertise through practical exposure to time-critical port call activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit and collect operational and statutory documents with port authorities, customs, terminals, and maritime agencies.
- Attend vessels on arrival and departure to support clearance processes and obtain required documentation.
- Coordinate port access permits, vessel work requests, and service-related submissions.
- Monitor cargo operations and support timely completion of departure formalities.
- Attend daily port meetings and follow up on berth allocation, pilot booking, and vessel movements.
- Provide proof of submission, collect approvals, and ensure accurate handover of documents to relevant stakeholders.
- Escalate authority issues, document rejections, or operational risks that may impact vessel schedules.
What We Are Looking For:
Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset—curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
- Experience working within Abidjan Port, a terminal environment, shipping agency, logistics operation, or a similar operational setting.
- Ability to manage document handling processes and follow up on approvals, signatures, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple time-sensitive activities.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to provide accurate updates and escalate issues promptly.
- Comfortable working in operational areas, boarding vessels, and complying with port safety and security requirements.
