APM Terminals Maasvlakte II (APMT MVII) is in a unique growth phase: a doubling of capacity goes hand in hand with a transformation of the terminal organisation. In this context, there is a need for both structured project support and effective guidance of change and process implementation.

Role and responsibilities:

As a PMO – Transformation with a focus on Process Implementation & Change Management, you will work within the Transformation Office and support the transformation program on multiple fronts: you monitor structure and progress, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, help implement processes and guide teams in dealing with change. You are the connecting link between planning, execution, process improvement and adoption. As PMO - Transformation you will report to the Project Manager Transformation.

1. Structure, Planning & Governance

  • Manage and maintain project schedules, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Provide a clear, up-to-date project structure and supporting documentation.

  • Analyze and optimize existing processes in collaboration with process managers.

  • Set up reports and dashboards for stakeholders, program management and product owners.

  • Track progress on scope, planning, resources, and risk.

  • Facilitate alignment with stakeholders in Operations, TECH, Maintenance, Planning and Engineering.

  • Communicate clearly about status, dependencies, risks and process impact.

2. Incremental, Iterative Way of Working and Team Coordination

  • Facilitate incremental meeting cadence including meetings like sprintplanning, daily stand-ups, demo’s and retrospectives.

  • Support teams in adopting incremental way of working and help structure practices.

  • Coordinate program increment (PI) planning and monitor alignment with the broader roadmap.

3. Change Management and Adoption

  • Support change agents in preparing and executing change initiatives.

  • Contribute to the adoption of new ways of working by coordinating communication, user engagement and training.

  • Monitor change impact, measure willingness to change and identify resistance at team or organizational level.

  • Actively contribute to strengthening change skills within the programme.

4. Support the Project Manager Transformation

  • You act as the right hand of the Project Manager Transformation and support the structuring of decision-making, progress monitoring and reporting.

  • You ensure that the right information is available to stakeholders and decision-makers in a timely manner.

  • You coordinate actions and monitor the integrality between different initiatives within the transformation program.

  • You are keen on priorities, dependencies and help prepare meetings and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a project support role, preferably in a technical or industrial environment.

  • Hands-on experience with project management systems (such as Jira, MS Project, Confluence, Dashboarding).

  • Experience in scrum/agile environments and affinity with coaching teams in this.

  • Familiar with document management, change management and reporting structures.

Skills & Competencies

  • You have a structured and result-oriented working style.

  • You feel comfortable in an environment with high dynamics and a "Rotterdam port mentality".

  • You have strong communication skills, both in Dutch and in English.

  • You are analytical, accurate and have a keen eye for detail and planning.

  • You work independently, but you are also a real team player and connector.

Education

  • Completed college or university education (or equivalent) in, for example, business administration, project management, technical business administration, or similar.
