So.. what is that you will actually do?
As a One Team Sales manager, you will join the Sales function in Maersk Global Service Centres managing sales support operations & small business sales for South Africa & UAE Areas and be the pivotal point between Sales, Customer, Product, Pricing & Operations to enable customer businesses and get opportunities to lead enterprise level improvement projects.
You’ll:
- Lead a team focused on executing transactional sales processes, solving sales issues for customers and generating revenue from customer portfolio
- Lead the team to achieve the set KPIs around process execution and sales targets
- Adapt to changes and drive initiatives/process changes/system rollouts etc. This will include driving process improvements and collaboration with cross functional stakeholders.
- Share insights & analytical inputs with the team to lead them in improving sales and grow the customer portfolio
- Manage stakeholders to strengthen the collaboration and partnership for the smooth running of our business
- Identify of gaps to improve customer journey and thereby improve the customer experience
- Coach team members to drive performance/goals and the right behavior
- Upskill self and team on products and behaviors to be future ready and meet current business needs.

We believe you’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Have 5+ years of experience leading teams
- Have experience managing & growing customers business and improving their experience
- Have a curious mindset, an ability to learn new skills and knowledge quickly and are adaptable to changing environment, processes and systems.
- Have experience in project management, quality improvement and working with documents like IOPs/QRGs along with adherence to these.
- Have a genuine passion for and interest in global trade and enabling it.
- Have a can-do attitude and drive which is second to none. You are known for taking strong ownership and going the extra mile.
- Have impeccable stakeholder management skills – you are great at building rapport and can work across all levels and functions.
- Have organisational agility, know how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network.
- Are often described as someone who has high energy and is loved for that by your colleagues!
- If you have experience in logistics, that’s a plus.
