Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.

We are seeking an Operations Supervisor in Hazelwood, MO!

12:30pm-9pm Tuesday-Saturday

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to help manage the daily return and reconciliation process for appliance delivery teams operating on behalf of a major national retailer.

This role serves as a key liaison between independent contractor delivery teams, warehouse personnel, and customer representatives to ensure returned product, paperwork, and equipment are accurately accounted for at the end of each delivery route.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, communicates effectively with delivery teams and customers, and can confidently manage dock operations while tracking delivery progress throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor delivery routes throughout the day using company systems and reporting tools to track truck progress and anticipated return times.

  • Coordinate inbound traffic and maintain control of warehouse dock operations during route returns.

  • Check independent contractor delivery teams back into the warehouse upon route completion.

  • Verify returned appliances, customer returns, damages, exchanges, and undelivered products are accurately reconciled.

  • Review and validate route paperwork, delivery documentation, and inventory records for completeness and accuracy.

  • Communicate professionally with contractors and customer warehouse personnel to resolve discrepancies and operational issues.

  • Maintain accurate records within transportation, delivery, and warehouse management systems.

  • Support audits, inventory reconciliation activities, and operational reporting as needed.

  • Escalate service failures, damaged product concerns, and inventory discrepancies to management.

  • Remain on-site until the final route returns and all end-of-day processes are completed.

  • Assist with additional warehouse and operational support tasks as business needs require.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous warehouse, logistics, transportation, dispatch, delivery, or operations experience preferred.

  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and around active dock operations.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism with drivers, contractors, and customers.

  • Proficient with computers and willing to learn transportation and warehouse management systems.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Must be flexible to work overtime when operational needs require.

Preferred Experience

  • Last-mile delivery operations

  • Appliance, furniture, or big-box retail logistics

  • Third-party logistics (3PL) operations

  • Transportation dispatching or route tracking

  • Dock management and inventory reconciliation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to safely navigate an active dock and warehouse workspace.

Pay Range:

$55,000-$65,000 salary

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
