Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.
The Operations Support Associate is responsible for supporting day-to-day dispatch operations and administrative activities for Last Mile delivery services. This role works closely with delivery teams, Macy's customers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication, operational compliance, and successful delivery execution.
Key responsibilities include monitoring delivery routes and service performance, managing customer and driver escalations, maintaining accurate records and documentation, facilitating communication across the delivery network, and providing real-time solutions to operational challenges.
The Operations Support Associate plays a critical role in ensuring service expectations are met while supporting a positive customer experience and operational efficiency.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, trustworthy, highly organized, and proficient with computer systems and technology. They must be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer focus.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Responsibilities
Answer inbound phone calls, emails, and messages while providing a high level of customer service.
Monitor daily delivery operations and track the progress of delivery teams to ensure on-time service execution.
Manage customer, driver, and partner escalations with professionalism and a sense of urgency.
Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding delivery updates, delays, service exceptions, and operational issues.
Perform real-time audits of delivery activity and operational data, identifying exceptions and escalating concerns as needed.
Assist with administrative functions, including email correspondence, report generation, scheduling support, filing, and record maintenance.
Monitor compliance with established operational procedures and report exceptions to management.
Exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making when addressing operational issues during periods of limited supervision.
Utilize transportation management systems, routing software, Microsoft Office applications, and other operational platforms to support daily business activities.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Support effective communication between delivery teams, transportation partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure service expectations are met.
Maintain professionalism and composure while responding to time-sensitive situations and operational challenges.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in customer service, operations support, administrative support, logistics, transportation, or a related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers, delivery teams, transportation partners, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience performing data entry, maintaining records, and compiling operational information.
Ability to solve problems, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented when managing customer concerns, operational challenges, and time-sensitive situations.
Dependable, trustworthy, and capable of handling confidential and sensitive business information with discretion.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, supply chain, or last-mile delivery operations.
Experience working with transportation routing software, or other logistics platforms.
Experience coordinating with drivers, contractors, transportation providers, or delivery networks.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
Experience handling escalations and customer service issue resolution.
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency.

Pay Range:
$20 - $21 per hour
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
