About the Role

As our new Application Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the stability and development of our application landscape within and around the Maersk Fleet. We are a global team and diverse team that collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to deliver the best possible work conditions for our onshore and sea colleagues. The team has a high focus on cross-collaboration and pollination of knowledge and hence sometimes you will lead and at other times you will follow. No task is too small for anyone no matter experience or role in the team.

Your work will have high and direct impact on how well the Maersk vessels operate which makes it easy to contribute to making Maersk even better. The role is diverse and offers a mix of operational tasks and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment where our priorities and work assignments often change depending on what happens in the world around us.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide support and maintenance for a range of applications along with a few mission critical business applications.
• Lead smaller initiatives independently
• Participate in larger projects as a key contributor
• Test and implement new features and releases
• Manage stakeholder relationships externally and internally
• Handle vendor management and follow-up on contracts
• Explore and experiment with new technologies and help bring them into production
• Look for process improvements across our portfolio and drive to conclusion / implemented

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Has experience with application management and a development / technical mindset
• Works well both independently and in teams
• Understands project management and agile methodologies
• Is curious about new technologies and eager to learn
• Communicates clearly and can navigate across different stakeholders
• Can execute small development assignments.
