
Job Description
This role is responsible for managing end-to-end dispatch operations in drayage logistics, ensuring smooth coordination between drivers, terminals, and clients. The dispatcher assigns and tracks loads, schedules port and warehouse appointments, and monitors shipments to ensure timely movement. They also handle driver support, resolve operational issues, and manage accessorial charges by coordinating with finance teams (AP/AR). Overall, the role requires strong communication, system handling, and real-time problem-solving to maintain efficient transportation operations.

Purpose of the role
Dispatchers play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations between drivers, the terminal, and external partners. This position is responsible for assigning and tracking loads in Trinium, coordinating pickup and drop-off appointments through terminal websites, and providing ongoing driver support. The Mobile Dispatch ensures that drivers are equipped with the necessary information, resolves inquiries promptly, and ensures that containers are transported efficiently and on schedule. The Dispatch must approve and notify accessorial to the Settlement Clerk to pay the drivers to ensure AP is done the right way. He must also notify the Transportation Coordinator to ensure accessorial are charged to the customer (AR). He must maintain contact with the client to ensure accurate dispatch planning and coordination. He must consider which charges (accessorial) are billable. The Dispatch must also evaluate repair inquiries and decide if they must be sent to a repair company. He must ensure that the drivers or himself keep the application up to date.
You will be Responsible for:
3–5 years of experience in shipping & logistics / dispatch operations
Hands-on experience in handling calls, Frequent interaction, load planning, driver coordination, and dispatch management
Exposure to port operations, container movement, and terminal appointment scheduling
Working knowledge of TMS tools (Trinium or similar systems)
Strong communication skills for handling drivers, clients, and internal teams
Experience in tracking shipments and managing real-time operational issues
Understanding of accessorial charges (detention, demurrage, etc.) and coordination with AP/AR teams
Good data handling, reporting, and documentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Flexibility to work in night shifts.

Qualification:
1. Fluent English speaking skill
2. Graduate, ideally Finance and Accounting
3. Should carry 3-5 years of min experience in Shipping & logistics industry
4. Prior experience with documentation review, data entry, reporting, Landside execution will be an advantage
5. Good working knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
