Marine Relations associate

Job Description

Supports execution of employee and/or government relations related work.
May represent the organisation in labour and immigration departments
when required.
Supports the direct manager or a team in ensuring full compliance
towards government authorities and/or labour organizations.

Fixed Term Contract - 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Executes standard administrative/HR/Government relation responsibilities towards visa and trade licensed requirements.
  • Maintains employee records and undertakes assigned tasks to ensure completion of legal work statuses in compliance with statutory law under the guidance of the functional head.
  • Preferably with prior experience working in a manning agency.
  • Handle transactions with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and local government offices.
  • Manage contract processing for seafarers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with local government agencies and oversee necessary compilations and documentation.
  • Must be keen to details, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.

Critical Competencies

  • Graduate of a bachelor’s degree course.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to report onsite five (5) days a week.
  • Demonstrated ability to commit 100% to a short-term contract.
